Here you will find some information about us, our family and some of our hobbies.

 

Patty is a native of Oregon and Dan is from Oklahoma.  Destined to find each other, they found themselves unknowingly living and raising their children within a short driving distance from each other while living in the Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountain region.  In 1988 they both moved to Arlington TX during the same month and purchased homes within 1 mile from each other.  Their common love of music eventually brought them together through their church choir.  Both families became good friends and shared many special events together.  Fate finally joined their lives while supporting each other through a two year period when Patty then Dan each saw their 23 years of marriage end in divorce (another strange coincidence of similarity).

 

During this time they realized that although they hadn’t recognized it before, they had always shared a special friendship.  In October 1999 they exchanged vows and began their new life together.

In 2003, after 30 years the prodigal son returned. Patty and Dan sold their home in Arlington TX and returned to Dan’s boyhood home to be closer to his aging parents.  They built their new home on 2.5 acres of the homestead where Dan grew up.  Dan says, “I couldn’t wait to get away from my parents. Now they are my neighbors!”
